Notice of AGM
The Annual General Meeting of WIRRAL DUPLICATE BRIDGE CLUB
will be held on Wednesday 2nd November 2016 at 6.45pm at Heswall Hall
Anyone wishing to propose a Resolution or a member for Committee must do so by advising the Hon. Secretary in writing together with the name and address of a Seconder and the agreement of the person being nominated at least 28 days beforehand.

Wirral Duplicate Bridge Club was formed in 1961 and continues to thrive based on three principles – a good standard of duplicate bridge played in a happy atmosphere by friendly people.

We play in Heswall Hall Community Centre on Wednesdays(9 - 12 tables) and Saturdays(5 - 7 tables) commencing at 7.15 for 7.30pm. We use Bridgemates for ease of scoring.

We are members of the Merseyside and Cheshire Bridge Association (M&CBA) and are affiliated to the English Bridge Union (EBU). All sessions are directed according to the rules of the EBU.

We are very pleased to receive visitors or guests but the club is unsuitable for a complete novice.

 EBU Simultaneous Pairs. On 5th October we play in this event where you can compare your scores with many people playing the same hands across the UK. The table money that night is £4-00
the AGM will take place on Wednesday 2nd November at 6.45. Please try and attend! Bridge is free afterward........
The club Christmas party will be held again at Royal Liverpool Golf Club on Wednesday December 7th. As last year it will feature a delicious meal with fun bridge afterwards. Tickets are limited to 72 and will be available from Wednesday 5th October. Payment by cheque only please......

| Last Wednesday Individual Ladder |
The winner is the person who achieves the highest average percentage playing with 6 different members over the course of the 11 months to November. If a player plays with the same person more than once, the best score is used in the calculation.

| Wednesday Championship Pairs Ladder |
The results are noramally calculated on the average of the best 7 percentages playing with the same partner on the first Wednesday in each month in the calendar year. But due to the X-mas party on 7th December it will be the best 6 percentages Click here for the positions.

| Saturday Championship Pairs Ladder |
The results are calculated on the average of the best 7 percentages playing with the same partner on the first Saturday of each month in the calendar year. Click here for the positions.

| Handicap Pairs |
Each person has their own individual Handicap which is calculated on the average of their results on the third Wednesdays of the month over the previous calendar year. The winners of the event will be calculated on the average of the best 6 percentages playing with the same partner over the possible 11 months to November.
