A later release of the Editor has been made available for evaluation.

You can select this from Web Admin - Settings - Options, towards the bottom of the page. Choose CKEditor 4.1

The "Upload Results" option for scorers has been revamped to make it easier to see which option to use for each function.

• The "Upload Player" has been incorporated in this option instead of having a separate menu entry. Currently this can be used for the Scorebridge and JS Pairsscorer player files.

You need to enter a password before proceeding.

There is an option in Calendar - Options to sort events on a day by

• Time Uploaded (Default)
• Event Id
• Title
• Manually Entered Sequence

If a manually entered sequence is entered for any particular day, such as a Congress, this will override the default sequence

There is a new "Bookings Feature" in "Members Only". This provides a facility for Members to indicate there attendance at future events or request a partner.

The information is entered via the "Members Only", but rather than keep this within the "Members Only", there is a new publically accessible page that shows this and any Calendar flagged with bookings has an extra "Bookings" link in the Calendar lists.

These are now all part of the regular "Competitions feature.

There is a new date option "User Selected" or "Auto". The "Auto" option is equivalent to the Standard Competitions but opens up the possibility of using all the Competition features. With additional options as well.

New software is in place to build the Bridgewebs guide. This "Style" of the Guide will not change. However, it will make it easier to add new topics. There are also facilities to Spellcheck and check for Broken Links. This will, therefore, make the Guide more useful. The guide is in the same structure so should continue to work with all releases.

This is an ongoing project. Spelling and broken links have already been checked and some new Topics have been added. Others are in the process of being brought up to date.

The competition rules such as "4/3/2/1 for a win" can be overridden with whatever reasonable values you would like to use.

Simply choose an appropriate option and enter the parameters separated by /

An additional option has been provided just to count slams regardless of small or grand

There is now an option for a user to select and dynamically print the Hand file in PDF format with an option to select 3x4 or 4x5.

This means it is NO LONGER NECESSARY to upload pdf format hand files provided the appropraite pbn with Makeable Contracts has been uploaded.

There is a similar option to View and Print in HTML format. 

The "Recent Results" page has been renamed to "Personal Analysis" and now allows players to view their scores over the last year.

The efficiency has also been improved so that the information should refresh fairly rapidly.

The format of the Competition list has been imrpoved to differentiate between qualifying players and those not qualifying. There is an option in the Competition setting to turn this on/off. 

There is an extra option to Disqualify players playing too many times with the same partner in a multi-partner competition.

If more complex Competitions are in operation, more columns give supporting information will show.

The Include/Exclude now only applies to the final list rather than the analysis.

A stat counter is now available on the web site giving the total hits in a year.

This can be turned on/off or size modified in Web Admin - Settings - Options.

There have been a number of adjustment in Web Admin in an attempt to make options clearer to understand.

Also a few other improvements. 

If the results do not include contracts and the Scorebridge S/G is not used, do you want bridgewebs to calculate slams from the scores, assuming certain values?

There may be the odd discrepency, such as for some double overtrick contracts being the same as a slam.

Release 2.18m uses a new login directory structure behind the scenes. You will find it necessary to login again to use 2.18m. However, thereafter you will not notice any difference.

The Form feature has been extended to provide a public "Message Board" usually as a simpler "Find a Partner" than the Members Only.

In Web Administration

• Click [Menu]
• Click [Amend]
• Use the "New News Page" to add an entry in the menu and give it a name "Message Board"
• Click [Save]
• Click [News]
• Look for the "Message Board"
• Click [Add News Item]
• Enter some text, for example "If you would like to leave a message on this web site, please enter the details below. Please note that any information such as Email and Telephone numbers will be viewable by all, so if you do not mind go ahead....."
• Click [Save]
• Click [Add Form]
• Adjust the Form as necessary, probably click on "Club Member" and [Delete Entry]
• And the new feature is "tick to show all entries below Form", this changes the page from a "Contact Us" into a "Message Board", then on the actual page the [Send Email] changes to a [Post Message].

Then, when anyone enters a message it shows under the Message Entry

If you would like to review the messages from time to time,

• Go back to the "News Item"
• Click [Submissions]
• Tick any you would like to remove
• Click [Delete Ticked]

If you would like to provide a useful box on the home page

• Click [News]

It is possible to store several names against an event and even change the labels, so the Ranking page has been changed to show all these names, not just the scorer.

You can now specify the dates for a competition, such that an event is added to the competition when it is uploaded rather than having to tick all dates in the future.

You can specifies which days of the week to be automatically updated.

Due to increased security requirements, bridgewebs needed you to login each time.

Bridgewebs now remembers for 90 minutes (or according to the setting in Settings - Options), as it was before.

This allows you enter contact details for each club, an kind of extension to the Where & When for the clubs running under an umbrella web site. You can then use the extra "Clubs" tab to enter the details and will need to go to "Menu" - "Amend" to add ""List of Clubs" to the menu.
