The Bury Athenaeum has been the home of the Widows Association for many years.

The group consists of around 40 members who meet on the first and third Tuesday  of each month.

They enjoy social events as well as having guest speakers giving talks on a wide variety of subjects of general interest to the membership.

Subjects covered in the past have have included home security (police spokesman), fire precautions (fire brigade),living on your own (social service) plus a variety of light hearted and interesting talks.

New members will be made most welcome.
