BRIDGE SEMINARS

Your Committee has decided to ask Keith Ponsford if he is willing to supervise

six sessions of thought- provoking Bridge as he has done in previous years, and he has agreed to do so.

These sessions will run for six consecutive weeks, until 14^th March, and for those of you who have not attended previously,

here is an idea of what to expect:-

All of the hands you will play will be randomly dealt, exactly as you would expect at a regular Club session.    

The difference is that each table will be playing the same hand at the same time.  

You will therefore be able to do something which you would dearly love to be able to do during normal Duplicate Bridge sessions –

you will be able to discuss all aspects of that hand straight away without fear of disclosing information to the next table,

and  incurring the wrath of the Director.  

To say that such discussion becomes animated is an understatement.

Keith then opens up those discussions to all and draws attention to any useful points which arise, before moving on to the next hand.

Numbers are limited, so you are advised to get your name down as soon as

possible if you are interested in learning more about this intriguing game.
