Buckland Bridge Events
The current schedule of events is:
Tuesday & Thursday
Face-to-face bridge at the Buckland Reading Room, starting at 2.15pm.
Wednesday
Online on BBO on Wednesdays starting at 2pm.
All Buckland events are EBU affiliated. EBU Master Points will be awarded to the top placed pairs.
A host system is in operation for both the Tuesday & Thursday events. For single players a partner will be found for you on the day.
Election Day
On Thursday 2nd May, the Buckland Reading Room is being used as a Polling Station for the local elections. Other local halls are not available, so there will be no f2f bridge session on that day.
However if there is sufficient demand an online bridge session can be run on BBO on that date. If there is any player who would like to play in an online session, please send us your BBO username via Contact Us.
AGM
The AGM of the Buckland Bridge Club will be held during the tea interval on Thursday 25th April. Check under the AGM Papers menu item for more details.
Increase in Table Money
From the 9th January 2024 the Table Money for the Reading Room events will be increased from £2.50 to £3.00. This is to match the increased room rental that will apply from 2024. The fee for BBO events remains at $3.00.

The Buckland Bridge Club (Archive Information) |
Welcome to the Buckland (Surrey) Bridge Club. We are a small, friendly club, designed originally for novices but now catering for more experienced players as well.
We meet on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons in the Buckland Reading Room (Village Hall), pictured here. It is in the Old Road 60 yards from the Buckland village shop. We play duplicate bridge sessions of 21 boards. The table money is £3.00, for members and visitors. Please arrive by 2.00pm on both days for play to start at 2.15pm.
We welcome visitors, pairs or single players, but as the club is limited to a maximum of 12 tables, there is the possibility that we cannot accommodate everyone who wishes to play.
Visitors need to be aware of the local regulations that operate at the club. Please check under the Information menu on this page.
