The Brentham Bridge Club is part of the Social Section of Brentham Club, the long established Sports Club on the Brentham estate.  This was one of the first English Garden Suburbs, situated on the north side of Pitshanger Lane, Ealing. Other sections of the club include cricket, football, tennis, snooker and bowls. Further details can be found at  Members also have access to the well-appointed bar.

The Bridge Club is affiliated to the EBU and the Middlesex County Bridge Association .

Using pre-dealt hands, we play on Wednesday evenings in the main hall of the club. It is air-conditioned and the  disabled facilities are excellent.   More information can be found on later pages of our site.

Hammersmith and District League

League tables have now been published.  As expected, we did not achieve last year's double success.

In the league, we were joint second, and we lost in the semifinal of the cup.  Thanks to Moira for organising the team, and the other players for maintaining our sporting spirit.

National Grading Scheme
The EBU has launched the National Grading Scheme. Members will notice from their own membership page on the EBU website a new tab on the righthand side, NGSinfo. Clicking on this will bring up a page showing your grade, and the grades of your regular playing partners.
Very briefly, your grade is based on your individual performances since P2P came in. The grade will be a playing card, running from a 2 ( lowest) to an Ace. In fact, the Ace grade is further subdivided into the 4 suits.

Merrita Dickinson

Merrita passed away on the 8th November in hospital after fighting a fairly long battle.
Our sympathies go out to Chris and Merrita's family at this time.
Chris and Merrita were consistently near the top of our results and she was always pleasant company to be with.  Merrita has died far too young.
Funeral at Mortlake Crematorium

Friday 21st November 10 AM.

Donations should be made out to MacMillan Cancer Support and sent to J.H. Kenyon, Funeral Directors at 279 Kensington High Street, London W8 6NA stating that they are in memory of Merrita Dickinson. Alternatively donations will be collected at the funeral service.
