| Why Bridge? |
Bridge is an endlessly fascinating game. It is really quick to learn to play and many people will reach a club standard within a year or so. As with most skilled activities, the more one practices, the better one gets and most players can see improvement over a period of some years. It's exceptionally inexpensive. A 3-hour game at any local club costs only a few pounds and the club provides absolutely all the equipment needed, though you might want to bring a pen! You don't need to be physically fit, you don't need much mathematics, counting to thirteen is about the extent. There is no doubt that short-term memory, up to about 5 minutes, is a help and visualising the reason behind the actions of the other people at the table is a hugely useful skill.

You want to start bridge. Great choice.
Unfortunately while enough people are interested they can't all make the times I had proposed. I plan to arrange a course which will probably run over a couple of weekends but probably not until the new year.
