Welcome
Welcome to Blundellsands Bridge Club
What is Blundellsands Bridge Club?
Blundellsands Bridge Club is a friendly members club for the pursuit of social and competitive contract bridge in its various forms (rubber, duplicate, teams etc.), at all levels.  We provide facilities for all players, from newcomers and beginners to experienced and nationally accredited.  Events range from small tasters and regular club evenings to computer enabled participation in simultaneous worldwide competitions, all in the comfort of our spacious dedicated clubroom.
We are members of the Merseyside and Cheshire Bridge Association (M&CBA) and are affiliated to the English Bridge Union (EBU).  Our Duplicate Bridge is played in accordance with EBU regulations and is fully computerised, in so far as the hands are both computer generated and computer scored.  The dealing is facilitated by using Dealmaster Pro® software and a Dealer 4® card dealing machine.  For scoring we use Bridgemate II® table-top terminals and Scorebridge® software.  We are usually able to upload the results (subject to appeals and corrections) onto this website within minutes of a session ending.  A full record of the hands and scores is available through this website and printouts are available after the session.  All* Duplicate sessions are Masterpointed and any Master Points earned are credited directly to the EBU  < click here for details about our EBU affiliation and their Master Point awards >

You will find us in Great Crosby village some six miles north of Liverpool along the Sefton coast and we are always ready to welcome friends, both old and new.
Please browse through our website.  We look forward to meeting you.

*Occasionally we run tasters and/or "Easy Duplicate" sessions which do not qualify for masterpoints

Where is Blundellsands Bridge Club?
We are in Crosby, a suburb approximately six miles north of Liverpool in an area renowned for its golf courses and Antony Gormley's unusual public art installation "Another Place" on the nearby beach.

Can I play?
We are always very happy to welcome visitors and prospective members alike but would ask that you contact us first to let us know that you are coming so that we can judge which of our sessions would be most appropriate.
