Captain’s report for 2016/7 League season
We lost our final game 13-7 against Morpeth B in Division C of the Inter Club league last April but it was enough to see us promoted as champions by the narrowest of margins.
As expected the games have been a lot tougher in the current season in Division B, and we lost by 15-5 against both Durham A and South Shields. However, a narrow win (11-9) against Cramlington A has left us currently second bottom in the table and with some chance of escaping relegation.
I had great support from the Club members in providing personnel for the team and 11 players will have taken part after the next match on Sunday coming.
Louise Badcock and Audrey Bainbridge represented the Club in the Neba Championship Pairs last May and performed very creditably coming 7th out of 26.
