| Anniversary Dinner |
The 8th April 2026 marks the 50th Anniversary of the founding of Bishop Auckland Bridge Club and we are hoping to celebrate this occasion by holding a special Anniversary Dinner at the Green Tree in Tudhoe, on Thursday 9th April to be followed by a session of duplicate bridge playing for the Anniversary Trophy.
We have provisionally booked a private room for a two course meal to begin at 6.00 pm with the Bridge beginning hopefully between 7.00pm and 7.30.
Should we be able to go ahead there will be a choice of three main courses including a vegetarian option and three desserts at a cost of £25 per head to include the meal and table money.
However in order to book the room we need a minimum of 16 people. If you would like to join us, can you please let me know as soon as possible but no later than this Wednesday 25th February so we can make a decision and confirm the booking.

The Club is registered with the English Bridge Union and meets weekly for duplicate bridge on Thursdays at 6.55 pm.

The club now meets outside of the town in the village of Kirk Merrington and all club nights and home matches in the Inter Club Teams League are played at

Visiting pairs are always welcome and partners can often be found for single players.
If you require a partner, please contact the Secretary Malcolm Dawson via the link under Club Information - Committee.
Parking is available within the Community Centre grounds or on the roadside outside.
Tea, coffee at 50p, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages are available at the Community Centre (price list displayed) with payment via an Honesty Box.
