Members are reminded that the annual membership subscription (£20.00) is now due, either paid by bankers' order or as cash during club sessions.
CHRISTMAS DINNER
This year the dinner has been booked for Sunday December 4 at the Elphinstone Hotel in Biggar. Members are asked to put their name on the list on the notice board if they intend to attend. The cost (£18.00 cash/£17.95 cheque) can now be paid.
TOM GRAY CUP
The Lanarkshire Pairs competeition is open to our members. It will be held in Hamilton Bridge Club on Wednesday October 19 at 7.00pm. Any pairs wishing to enter should contact Mary Mason at Hamilton Bridge Club.
SBU SIMULTANEOUS PAIRS - TUESDAY, OCTOBER 25, 7.00PM
Any pairs interested in competing in this competition are invited to put their name on the sheet on the notice board, or notify Deirdre Gardiner who has the Tuesday book. Cost is £3.00/head.
WORKSHOP - SUNDAY OCTOBER 30, 2-5 PM
Anyone interested in participating in this workshop are invited to put their names on the sheet on the notice board. The topic is to be decided. After the workshop it is intended to have supper at the Elphinstone fopllowed by a concert by the "Biggar Little Orchestra".

THURSDAY EVENINGS
Please note the current arrangements:
- Members wishing to play on Thursday evenings must arrange their own partners
- In order to give the TD and scorer time to set things up, members must turn up by 6.45 at the latest.
FRIDAY AFTERNOONS
These will now take the form of social sessions with no formal scoring on the computer or book-keepers.
MEMPAD
The club is now registered on MEMPAD, a computerised data base with information on SBU districts, clubs and members including their Master Points ranking. For those who have not already done so and wish to log on to MEMPAD, send an Email to "masterpoints@sbu.org.uk" quoting your Master Points number (its the same number as your SBU membership number on your membership card). You will receive instructions as how to log on using your Master Points number as your user name (ID).
ARRANGEMENTS FOR MASTER POINTS
All master points gained in club sessions including simultaneous pairs are now transferred electronically to the SBU and MEMPAD. Results from all club sessions except Wednesday evening and Friday afternoon will continue to be forwarded for Master Points.
There are still a few historical paper certificates awarded from other competitions (e.g. Simultaneous Pairs Competitions) in the small filing box in the club room for members to collect themselves and forward to:
