Eddie's camera caught the happy relaxed atmosphere amongst our group as we enjoyed a social time together over a festive meal  & then onto presentations of Awards for 2015.  Some light entertainment followed when Dorothy Fry in her usual humorous style had us all guessing then laughing when she finished her poem.

I'm getting someone new to play with
Someone with the know how of a super quiz kid
A brand new member for the Berry bridge club
One who will promptly pay his annual subs
For a change neither of us will raise a voice
With each of us making a well considered choice
A reason for so doing there is no need to give
We've adopted the clique of live & let live
Our defence, unequalled, will have you gob smacked
It'll even appear the cards we have stacked
Everyone will enjoy his companionship
Doesn't matter one iota where we sit
His dress is inconspicuous you will hardly notice
Whether he is fat or slim but on whose eyes you will focus
Have you guessed who my partner is for both day & night
Of course it's the chap everyone knows    Mr Hindsight

The day was rounded off with a game of Bridge perhaps a little more relaxed than usual with prizes for special "firsts" handed out by our DIT (Director in Training) under the watchful eye of official Director for the day Cecily Lewis. Thanks were given to Kath Kean for her helpful tips about bidding & play.  Special thanks to the committee who organised & put on such a successful afternoon. Enjoy the photos & if there are any that you wish to have removed please advise Chris Huddle.
