We are delighted to inform you that Bayside Bridge Club will, from 3^rd March, be relocating to Hampton Bayside Bowls Club (HBBC)

ALL SESSIONS TIMES WILL REMAIN THE SAME

Our supervised and lessons sessions currently held at St Leonard’s Uniting Church, will also be consolidated at the new venue.

Bayside Bridge Club has been operating since 1971 and will continue to provide welcoming and friendly environment for our players for many years to come.

In making this major decision, many factors have been considered in detail.  We hope you’ll support this next stage so that we can continue to provide you with an enjoyable outing playing cards and socialising with your friends.

Hampton Bayside Bowls Club (HBBC) are at the beginning of their own “next phase,” so we see this as an opportunity to form a partnership that will see our two organisations foster strong and enviable community hub within Bayside.

What you can expect:

• Ample parking – front (at the main entrance) and back (off Earlsfield Rd)
• Bus route 828 – stops right outside (route to and from Hampton and Southland train stations).
• Only 2.3 Kms from current venue.  Literally only a few minutes away.
• Car routes on leaving -  avoid nearby school zones.
• Large undercover deck – feel free to bring your lunch and enjoy it with your friends before the game.  Or a drink after the game.
• Bar – on good advice, we’re told the cheapest prices in Bayside.
• Sunday music sessions – stay for drink and enjoy the music on the deck from 4:30pm (you can even arrange food delivery from your favourite Bayside restaurant).
• New tables* and comfortable chairs.

*Tables are on order, so may not be there for the opening weeks.

Whilst the bar isn’t usually open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, HBBC volunteers will be opening the bar after our sessions – especially for our players!  We ask that if you usually stay for a drink, you continue to, and encourage others, so that we can ensure it is viable for the club to continue to provide this service to our members.

It is this type of “working together” that we’ve been especially grateful for whilst developing our relationship with HBBC.  Their Board members are prominent Bayside figures, are lovely people and have been engaging and responsive to our requests and negotiations.  We look forward to working with them over the years to come.

The open communicative, consultative and solution orientated approach of the HBBC Board has given us great faith, that together, we will continue to provide you with a “home bridge club” of which, you are proud.

Established in Moorabbin in 1992, GDR 95.7fm are a community radio station that “cater to the void left behind by the bittersweet feeling of nostalgia in our hearts and minds”.
