At the Brighton Really Easy Congress this year, two of our first year students (Liz Ball and Christine Ware) won first place in the Monday Pairs competition.   Well done girls for this great achievement!  Here are some of the winners from the Congress.

The December Teams Game attracted 16 tables and everyone joined in the festive mood.  Here are our Section A winners: Susan Murray & Judith Thomas, Celia Porter & Richard Hill.  Winners of Section B are: Jane Clark & Christine Ware, Jane & Howard Stockall.  Congratulations to everyone for managing to work out their imps.  For more pictures click on 'Photographs' on the menu bar.  

Our students have returned from The Really Easy Summer Congress at Brighton.  We were there for three days and some great bridge was played.  Our brave Year One students played from Monday to Wednesday and competed in their first Swiss Pairs; our Improvers played Tuesday to Thursday, and Christine and Margaret played in the midnight 'Speedball'.  We are looking forward to next year's congress already.

Here are our new graduates from the Summer School of 2014 under the watchful eye of our resident dinosaur.  These brave players have survived and conquered the art of Bidding, Defending and Playing bridge.  They have learned about Opening Leads, Overcalls, Takeout Doubles and Stayman and now they are ready to play bridge!  This was our first three day course; if you would like to learn to play bridge in three days, please contact Christine at Christine.macf@btinternet.com; we will be holding another course in August 2015 - 24th to 26th.
