Learn to play bridge in a relaxed and fun environment, whether you are completely new to bridge, returning after a period away from the game or have played for some time and want to improve/advance.
Learn a new skill, make new friends, have fun!
Susie Gall and Trevor Purches are qualified and experienced bridge teachers, offering lessons for beginners, intermediate and more advanced players, either in the City of Bath or in your own location in North/West Wiltshire. We are members of Bath Bridge Club, Wiltshire Contract Bridge Association and the English Bridge Union Teachers’ Association (EBUTA).
Classes are small, friendly and fun, following a structured system taught in an informal manner, mostly through practical play. Learners will be given handouts and tea/coffee are provided.
Beginners' and intermediate classes are based on the recommended English Bridge Union (EBU) 'Bridge for All' teaching programme. You do not need any previous experience or knowledge. Also suitable for those who have played some social bridge or are returning after not playing for some time.
More advanced lessons cover specific topics (see 'Teaching' page). They are less prescriptive and give more advanced players options to improve systems and play. Participants will also learn to understand more about other players' bidding and play.
Other classes are developed according to the needs of learners.
Bespoke classes are also available - eg if you would like to update your system.
There are more details of the above lessons and information about other classes available on the 'Teaching' and 'Lessons' pages.
