We ended our Winter League campaign
with a resounding 17-3 victory in Harrogate.
5 victories from 7 matches played was a great effort
by everyone involved but, unfortunately, due to two heavy defeats
it was not quite enough to enable us to gain promotion
but we finished the season in a very respectable 5th place.

Can we please remind all Members that they should be seated and ready to play
at least 10 minutes before the scheduled start time
to give the TD sufficient time to set up the movement.
In accordance with EBU guidelines and recommendations
all movements with up to 4 tables, and those with half tables,
will normally be Howell movements, whilst those with five or more full tables
will normally be Mitchell movements.
The movement chosen by the TD at each session, having possibly taken into consideration
other factors such as time constraints and potential sit out times
should always be accepted by those present without challenge please.

| FANCY A GAME OF BRIDGE ? |
We play two sessions each week at
Gilroyd Social Club, Saville Road, Barnsley S75 3PX
on
Monday Afternoons starting at 1.00pm until approximately 3.30pm
and
Wednesday Evenings starting at 7.00pm until approx. 10.00pm
We aim to play around 24 boards on Mondays and 28 boards on Wednesdays
ALL LEVELS OF PLAYERS ARE MOST WELCOME TO JOIN US
AND WE ALSO HAVE DISABLED ACCESS AND FACILITIES
In addition we play online on Fridays 18.45-21.45. Friends welcome
