| Welcome |
If you are wondering whether you would like to play bridge at Banbury Bridge Club, this item is for you.
- If you already have a partner, then just come along any Thursday with your partner
- If you do not have a partner, you can contact the club's Partnership Secretary (01295 750939) who will find one for you
- If you are doubtful about whether you would like to play at Banbury, feel free to come along and watch ('kibbitz' is the bridge term). No charge.
Many players are under the misapprehension that only top experts play at bridge clubs; this is just not true.
If you would like more information, feel free to contact the Club Secretary, David Flower, who can be reached on 01295 660432 or DavJFlower@BTINTERNET.COM . Information about how to find the club can be found by clicking on 'Information' on the left. |

| Unusual Result |
Look at the results for July 16th. I matchpoint above average was enough to secure first place, albeit tied with two others!

|
| Important Change |
| Effective immediately, club evenings on Thursdays will start at 7:00pm, not, as previously, 7:15pm |

| Banbury Bridge Club Golden Jubilee |
On Thursday, 21st February 2013, Banbury Bridge Club celebrated its Golden Jubilee.
A number of members of the club kindly donated refreshments, which were appreciated by all present.
The cake was cut by Roger Kilby, who has been a member of the club since its beginning. |

|
| Left-handers take note |
| The Club has acquired two left-handed bidding boxes, which any member is free to use. They are easy to identify, as they are green. |
|
|
|
| Club Shield |
The Club Shield has been awarded 28 times, and is, quite frankly, full, with no more space to transfer names on the front to the back.
One option would be to remount the plaques on a larger (wooden) shield, but perhaps there is a member who would like to donate a new trophy. |
