Burgess Hill Bridge Club
Visitors and new members are always welcome. All clubs are EBU affiliated and operate a host system, so even if you do not have a partner one week, come along - we guarantee to provide you with a partner. Sessions are played in a friendly, competitive atmosphere where all players are welcome whatever their level of duplicate club bridge experience.
It is with great sadness we hear that Denise passed away last night (Sunday 15th) after a long illness. Denise was a long term member of our Keymer club and regularly kept control of the room from her normal seat as North, Table 11! She was a reliable, frequent attendee and a steady player whose bidding and card play could be relied upon. Denise showed a genuine concern for other club members and was always keen to join in discussions when they arose - a friendly face of welcome . And then there was her quiet endearing laugh which invariably ended with a "well, yes" or "of course" or both. And of course there is no doubt that well, yes, we will remember her with great fondness and include Sue, Bob and the rest of Denise's friends and family in our prayers at this very difficult time.
Details of Denise's funeral are not know at the time of posting but they will be published here as soon as they are available.
