Burgess Hill Bridge Club
Visitors and new members are always welcome. All clubs are EBU affiliated and operate a host system, so even if you do not have a partner one week, come along - we guarantee to provide you with a partner. Sessions are played in a friendly, competitive atmosphere where all players are welcome whatever their level of duplicate club bridge experience.
We have reviewed our procedures and data retention locations and methods in order to meet the requirements under GDPR effective from Friday 25th May 2018.
Full, comprehensive documents will be available via this website within the next month, that period being permitted by the regulations. During the interim period any questions should be addressed to Bob Whiting through the "Contact Us" facility at the bottom of this web page, or by letter sent to 8 Littleworth Lane, Partridge Green, Horsham, West Sussex, RH13 8JE or handed to Bob Whiting or the prevailing Director at any club session. Your query should be in writing and the envelope, "Contact us" or ordinary direct email marked clearly GDPR to ensure that your question is answered within the statutory maximum period of one calender month. Such documentation as is covered by GDPR and as is currently available to members of AVBC is being reviewed and will be in operation at all sites and sessions within the next month. These documents almost entirely relate to information required from visitors to the club on their first visit or for those who wish to apply for membership of AVBC. Existing members of AVBC at any of the club's operational locations are unlikely to be required to complete any further AVBC documentation. The fundamental requirements and their required format are, in some instances, evolving and certain changes may be necessary to the wordings of our policies and operational practices. To the extent that any of these may apply to AVBC, such changes will be incorporated within AVBC protocols as required within the relevant prescribed period(s). Further information is available on the EBU and SCCBA websites.
