WEDNESDAY START TIME IS NOW 11.30AM

This is because a fitness class will now be held in the hall on Wednesday mornings before our bridge session.

Please try to be seated by 11.20am so that the movement and electronic scoring can be set up for a prompt start.

We are pleased to announce that the annual Mixed Pairs competition in memory of Jack London will be held on Monday 24th October. This event is always very popular, so please do your best to arrive early to assist Marco with arranging the movement/tables etc

Non-mixed pairs are of course welcome, but only a Mixed Pair of club members may win the trophy. We also have a special prize for the best "scratch" pair...Good luck !

Prize presentations on Monday 31st when we will once again welcome Sue London to the club.

Congratulations to all prize winners in the annual Jean Luboff Trophy held over the summer months in between ladder seasons. Prizes will be presented just before the bridge commences on Wednesday 14th September, so please be seated promptly. The awards go to : Morag & Keith, overall champions - best 3 from 3. Janet & Sheila, best 2 from 3. Michael & Steve, best under 8. Then there are session prizes for Irene & Shirley, Fiona & Gordon and Ray, Rita & Bill ...I will leave it to Marco to carefully divide the money between 3 for the last session...

Welcome to Aces Bridge Club. We are a friendly daytime duplicate bridge club and we welcome new members and guests to our club. We are affiliated to the EBU and to the Kent Contract Bridge Association and run heats of county and national competitions in addition to our regular events. Master points are awarded for all sessions.

Our sessions are suitable for all levels of player - as long as you have learnt the basics, it is an ideal environment to practice your skills.

Our venue is at Westcombe Park Rugby club - just off the Orpington by-pass - where there is car parking for 200 cars. We play Mondays at 1pm and Wednesdays at 11am - refreshments are provided.

Dear members and guests, would you please arrive and take a seat a good 10 minutes before the start of play. If you are definitely coming to play but are running late, please make sure that the director or your partner knows that you are on your way. This is necessary to facilitate the setting up of the computer & it is a lot of trouble to restart the movement to accommodate late arrivals and in some cases might not be possible. A prompt start ensures a smooth session that finishes on time, so please help the director and scorers as best you can to do the best job that they can. Thank you & we hope that you like the new scoring facility. Please remember to let all players see the results as you would with a traveller...just because North enters the score doesn't mean the others at the table don't want a look too !
