♠ ♥ ♦ ♣ Our Main Room Bridge for experienced players begins promptly at 1.30pm every Friday afternoon. Please arrive in time to be seated by 1.20 so that the movement may be set and ensure a 1.30 start.   

Ace Bridge Club also runs weekly Gentle Duplicate Bridge sessions at the Sailing Club in Deal on Fridays in our conservatory area. Please arrive no later than 1.10pm to ensure the session may start promptly at 1.20. Ace Bridge Club is a teaching club and my students progress through Gentle Duplicate and on to playing Club Bridge in our Main Room.  As a teaching club we help players to learn and improve their bridge and we offer a friendly and welcoming environment for all our members.

♠  ♥ My lively and fun online Bridge lessons are fully interactive, and I teach using a combination of Zoom Web Conferencing using Powerpoint presentations, we can access No Fear Bridge (NFB) for bidding practice in class and students play online during the lesson using teaching tables in Bridge Base Online (BBO).  Homework assignments are provided on NFB enabling you to practise playing between lessons.  ♦ ♣  

I am an EBTA trained teacher and I teach Duplicate Bridge using the Bridge for All syllabus which is recommended by the EBU (English Bridge Union); delivering Beginners and Improvers classes up to Bridge Club entry level, and I also provide refresher and revision lessons. For those students who are local to the Deal area, you would then be welcomed as a member into Ace Bridge Club.  If you live outside the area, then I shall provide you with a personal introduction to your local Bridge Club at your request.  

The teaching lessons are 2 hours in duration, and we also take a break midway for refreshments although as I am currently only teaching online - you do need to provide your own biscuits at present!!

Free Acol competition on BBO - play eight boards each day

Enter site and click on Competitive on first page and then All Tournaments

On this page click in the top right hand corner on Search and type in ACOL

This will bring up two competitions

Free Acol Individual Daylong (MP)    which is free of charge

Acol Daylong(MP) which has an entry fee of 0.59 BB$

You will play eight boards with three robots in the other seats

Two days later, click on the History tab and you will find your results there
