Learners' Bridge competitions |
Message from Karen Read, Congress Secretary, Norfolk County Bridge Association
The NCBA has two events coming up specifically designed for bridge players with little or no experience at competitions and we very much hope that players may be tempted to have a go.
The first is on Sunday 24th February at Wymondham Abbey Hall at 2pm. There will be two competitions run simultaneously: the Barbara Dick Cleland trophy is for players with less than 500 EBU masterpoints. Entry is free and it is open to non EBU members. The Buxton trophy is for players with less than 40000 masterpoints (and less than 10 green points).
The second event is the Really Easy Congress (part of the Norfolk Congress) on Friday 15th March at 1.30pm at the Wensum Valley Hotel, Taverham.
This is open to players with less than 1000 EBU masterpoints and there is no need to be an EBU member.
The cost is £5 including tea/coffee and biscuits (half price for under 25s)
Pre-registration is required for all events by sending an email to karenread61@yahoo.co.uk. If any individual players would like to enter please contact me and we can try and find a partner
